Calli Ross
DIRECTOR
Calli Ross has a background in biology with a focus on microbiology, having published several papers in the field. In 2015, her career in the sciences shifted dramatically with the birth of her second child, who experiences disabilities. She left the workforce to become a full-time caregiver, dedicating herself to navigating and improving the limited supports available for families of children with disabilities.
This personal journey sparked her advocacy work, leading Calli to join Advocates for Disability Supports in 2021 as the Legislative Liaison. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to champion legislation benefiting minors in Oregon, including the successful passage of a paid parent caregiver program and a bill supporting children in special education.
With her son often accompanying her, Calli has discovered a profound passion for politics and strives to make Oregon a more inclusive and supportive state for children with disabilities. When not advocating or meeting with legislators, Calli cherishes time with her husband, three children, two dogs, and a lively fluffle of bunnies.
